Vegetarians beware - Sean's in the kitchen

In defense of his arteries, Sean says that a serving of Bacon Explosion has fewer calories and less fat than stuff from a fast-food place. I bet it tastes a lot better, too--and I'll probably find out! Now that his dad has seen the recipe, he wants to put one in the smoker. Sean's version used breakfast sausage instead of Italian sausage. This time. mmmmmm bacon.

Spring?

This year, I'm inclined to accept General Beauregard Lee's prediction of an early Spring. Beau is Georgia's groundhog, who has a rather dismal prognostication record. Nevertheless.. today is February 8 and it's in the mid-70s . We have all the doors and windows open. The daffodils and hyacinths already have buds, the tulips and white narcissus foliage broke ground over a week ago, and most of the trees are starting to show tiny bits of green. I'm ready!! Hit me with Spring!

(It's a crummy photo, I know!)

Snow Globe!

Along with the rest of London, Shakespeare's Globe Theater is under a rare blanket of snow.
Most methods of public transport have shut down, so Londoners who can't (or don't want to) make it to work are said to be taking a "duvet day." What a perfect expression!
